Gate Panic Locks

Gate Panic Locks

Where a gate requires a lock that needs easy operation because it is either part of an emergency exit route or because the people passing through the gate may be carrying equipment then you may wish to consider the panic lock. Instead of a lever operation, this lock requires the user to push a pad down to unlock the gate and in lots of applications, this may be preferable.

Externally the lock requires a key to open the gate and to exit, the user operates the paddle. The lock can also be deadlocked using the key if required.

IMPORTANT - Care must be taken when using this lock. If the gate has been deadlocked using the key then this will disable the operation of the paddle handle and the user will not be able to exit.

The paddle handle only operates in conjunction with the latch bolt of the lock.
